Paul, thanks so much for sharing. I downloaded the WP Move Plugin, but following this tutorial makes things easier.

Just one thing: as I never migrated WP before, I've spent hours trying to make it work but it didn't. The reason was very simple: I wasn't updating DB_HOST in the wp-config file. iPage hosting requires you to edit that.

Perhaps you could specify that in your tutorial....that is already crystal clear though!

Yeah in CS3 it doesn't work :( you need CS4 at least.

i want to use categories to filter isotope, so i was following the steps in yr other post ( http://rollyourowncreative.... ) but towards the end (final step) the whole post gets cut off and it appears some kind of error has disrupted the page itself ! i know this is a much more fleshed out version of implementing, but is there any way the other post could be fixed? it seems to be perfect for what i need it to do. thanks for all of yr work!

Hi Dan, WordPress will only be using a single database, of which should have the name from when you set it up, or alternatively you should be able to see the name in your wp-config.php file

thanks for the tips. But I appear to have 7 databases and only one wordpress install. How do I know which database is correct. There is nothing obvious to identify it.

thanks for the kind words, glad you have put it to good sue.

"hand" is unfortunately not one of the css cursor types, you will need to use cursor: pointer; to get the "hand on the H2".

example :

h2 {
cursor: pointer;
}

Great stuff and just what I was looking for to clean up a clients FAQ page.

My only frustration is I'm trying to figure out how the mouse pointer can switch to the 'hand' when one hovers over the question. Any ideas? I've attempted css (cursor: hand;) with no luck and as the heading is an h2 tag it defaults to the text bar rather than arrow when hovered. I've also attempted wrapping the question with a link but this has no effect either.

It would be great to have the hand as it is more intuitive for people to click.

Any ideas.

something I didn't mention explicitly was the function that I used this for, which you may have picked up by looking at the HTML markup and comments, a great application for this style of Accordion, could be an FAQ Page.
